Medicaid (Aged, blind, or disabled)


To qualify for community Medicaid, also known as Medicaid for the aged, blind, or disabled (ABD), applicants must be
•    Age 65 or older, or
•    Legally blind, or
•    Disabled according to Social Security criteria

Resource Limits

The Medicaid resource limit is currently $1,500 for an individual and $2,250 for a married couple. Exempt resources include the home you reside in, your car, and your household possessions. Your case worker will help you determine which resources are counted or exempted.
